Author Guidelines (UPI Journals)

Author(s) must follow the journal guidelines and carefully check the manuscript to comply with author guidelines before submitting to the journal.

Title Page

Author(s) must write the title of paper which should represent the objectives of the study.

Author(s) Names: Should specify the full name of Author(s).

Corresponding Author(s): Must be indicated by (*)

Affiliations: Author(s) affiliation(s) must be clear and complete details are expecting.

Format: Author name, Designation, College/Institute/University name, Address with Pin/Zip code, Country name.

Address for Correspondence: Address of corresponding Author must be written in the title page which includes corresponding author name, address, contact number and valid email id.

Abstract

Author(s) should write the abstract with less than 250 words and it should not contain any references. If work / study demands more number of words (>250) in abstract for greater acceptance, then it will be allowed and it is at Editor’s discretion.  

Keywords

Provide 3-5 keywords suitable to the work or study and those keywords will be used for indexing purpose.

Introduction

Briefly write the introduction and complete in 3 paragraphs (For some studies, it will be allowed to have more than 3 paragraphs). First two paragraphs should explain about the past work(s) by citing appropriate references and give explanation about the uniqueness of your work compared to the existing works. Final paragraph should explain about the objectives and what are the goals, you can achieve by this study or work.

Experimental

Briefly write about the methods followed, materials used and cite with appropriate references, if applicable.

Results and Discussion

Author(s) can combine the both results and discussion sections or individually can explain. Explain clearly the results achieved under the results section. Under discussion section, author(s) must explain the work by comparing with literature and in final paragraph, specify the achieved goal(s) or objective(s) of the study.

Conclusion

Conclude the work(s) or study briefly.

Acknowledgement(s)

Author(s) must acknowledge the funding sources under this section, if exist and specify the contributors of the work(s) or study, if applicable but not limited.

Conflicts of Interest

During the submission of manuscript, this is the responsibility of author(s) to mention the funding and non-funding competing interests of the work(s). 

References

At the end of manuscript, author(s) must write the references which have been cited in the text. Number the references according their citation but not in alphabetical order.

Reference’s Citation in Main Text and under the References Section

Under the references section, number as “1, 2, 3,” ……. and inside the text, it must be indicated as “[1], [2]”, ……

In case of 3 references of continuous numbered, should indicate as [1-3] but not [1, 2, 3] inside the text. If the references are not continuous then mention as [1, 3, 5] or somewhere continuous and another is not continuous then mention as [1-3, 5, 7].

Journal Articles

Safarzadeh E, Sandoghchian Shotorbani S, Baradaran B. Herbal medicine as inducers of apoptosis in cancer treatment. Advanced Pharmaceutical Bulletin 2014; 4(suppl 1): 421-7.

Format: Author names (Name followed by surname or initial). Title of the paper. Journal name Year; Volume(Issue): Page numbers.

(Should mention all author name(s) followed by initial or surname and no need to mention the et al.)

Book Chapters

Tables

Tables must be numbered as Arabic numerical and place the tables at appropriate locations inside the text. Each table must contain the title or caption which should indicate the contents of the table.

Figures or Images

Good quality of images or figures is expected to submit by the author(s) and specify in Arabic numerical. Figures should place at their appropriate locations in the text. The acceptable figure(s) format is JPG/JPEG/PNG/TIFF.

Equations and Formulas

Frequently, we are facing the problem with formulas and equations during final production of paper for high quality when author(s) prepared the equations or formulas using the Microsoft word’s equation editing tool. We suggest the author(s) to use the Math Type Software Offered by Design Science or any other software which gives high quality equations and formulas.

Specifications

Galley Proofs

At this stage, minor corrections will be allowed and author names may not be replaced. Corresponding author(s) must return the galley proof to the journal with necessary corrections in 48 h.

Note:

  • Before submitting the paper author(s) must read the editorial policies.
  • English language must be clear, concise and easily understandable to everyone. In case, if author(s) feel any difficulty to write the paper in English, authors can go for proof read services offered by UPI.
  • Word count must be less than 250 words for abstract and text body should contain minimum of 1000 words in case of research and review papers and this limit would be exempted in case of short communications and case studies.
  • In case of any equipment, chemicals, software and names of branded drugs used in the manuscript, author(s) should write the procurement details such as company name, city, state and country.

Authors must read the editorial policies along with above instructions. 

Paper Submission 

Author(s) is / are carefully structure the manuscript(s) according to the author guidelines and before submitting the paper(s) / manuscript(s), author(s) is / are requested to read the Editorial policies.

After submission of manuscript(s) / paper(s) to the journal confirms that the author(s) agreed to follow the editorial policies of the publisher. Author(s) can submit the manuscript(s) by Online Submission System  or send via Electronic mail
